Quadri Alabi to Appear in Court Tomorrow as Hearing Date Brought Forward
Lagos, Nigeria – Quadri Alabi will be produced before the Apapa Magistrate Court in Lagos tomorrow, Thursday, 17 April 2025, at 9 AM, following a successful application to vary the original hearing date. The case, initially scheduled for 28 April 2025, has been expedited after requests from both the defence and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Inibehe Effiong, a prominent Nigerian lawyer, announced the development on social media, confirming that the Nigerian Correctional Service authorities will present Alabi at the courthouse. The variation application, jointly supported by Effiong’s legal team and the DPP, was granted, allowing the hearing to be rescheduled to the earlier date.
The proceedings will take place at the Apapa Magistrate Court, located at Orege, Ajegunle, in the Sikiru Adagun Courthouse (Court No. 9). Effiong stated that he and his team will accompany Alabi and his family to the court. While the specific reasons for the expedited hearing were not disclosed, Effiong noted that further details would be provided during the court session.
