SEDC Chairman Engages Enugu Governor on Regional Development

As part of its region-wide stakeholder engagements with State Governors, the South-East Development Commission (SEDC), led by its Chairman, Chief Dr Emeka Wogu, has paid a working visit to the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Dr Peter Mbah.

The high-level discussions centred on strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing development in the South-East region. Key among the topics was the establishment of the SEDC headquarters in Enugu, signifying a major step towards institutionalising the commission’s presence in the region.

Both parties explored avenues for collaboration on major infrastructure projects, which are expected to drive economic growth and improve the livelihoods of residents. The need to harmonise regional policies was also emphasised, with the goal of creating an enabling environment for increased investment and sustainable development.

Governor Mbah welcomed the engagement, reiterating his administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that will foster economic progress and infrastructural transformation in Enugu State and beyond.

The meeting marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships between the SEDC and regional governments, reinforcing the collective vision of a prosperous South-East Nigeria.
